Successful transition into a new position at UCR doesn’t just happen in one day. The icons below will take you to tailorable resources that will help you facilitate your new hires’ transition so they are welcomed, prepared and inspired.

Before Arrival

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Signed Offer Letter
  • Schedule Onboarding to Shared Services
  • Livescan/Hire Right (Background Check), if applicable
  • Complete I-9
  • New Hire Announcement Email to Department
  • Assigned Computer/Software, Office Space, and Supplies
  • Complete Work-Study New Hire Process (for work-study positions)

Day 1

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Welcome Employee
  • Supervisor Meeting
  • HR/Administration Introduction
  • Tour of Work Area/Campus
  • Welcome Lunch/Coffee
  • Assigned System Access
  • Review Emergency notification system and building emergency protocols
  • Review TARS/timekeeping system
  • Assign Mentor

Week 1
